Due to the development of information networks and artificial intelligence, modern people in a hyperconnected society become overly immersed in digital devices, leading to issues such as a lack of empathy, decreased ability to make independent judgments, weakened concentration, and increased dependency. However, reading books can help modern people communicate with their surroundings by voluntarily distancing themselves from digital media, make independent judgments through proper understanding of reality, develop the concentration needed to read and think about long texts, and focus on themselves rather than becoming dependent. Therefore, reading books can positively help overcome the problems modern people face.
